 ​​What is the byACRE Nordic Pioneer made of?

The frame is made with an aluminium core wrapped with EPP. The other parts are made from plastic and aluminium. The larger 22.5cm wheels are made from a PU/rubber mix and are slightly soft to touch.

What is EPP?

EPP stands for 'Expanded Polypropylene'. It is an exceptionally versatile closed-cell bead foam. Take a look at its cool, unique properties:

What is the main difference between the byACRE Nordic Pioneer, byACRE Carbon Ultralight, and the byACRE Carbon Overland?

There's fair bit!

Materials: The Nordic Pioneer is made from eco friendly EPP which covers an aluminium core frame. The Ultralight and the Overland are made with carbon fibre frames - carbon fibre is know for being super strong and super light. The Pioneer is strong of course, but a little heavier with it's aluminium core - but still very lightweight!

Weights: The Carbon Fibre Ultralight is 4.8kg, the Pioneer is 5.9kg, and the Overland is 6.7kg.

Wheels: The Nordic Pioneer has PU/rubber mix wheels that are 22.5cm / 8.8 inches in diameter. The Ultralight rollators wheels are similar, but with a 20cm diameter. The Overland has larger pneumatic air-filled tires for more mixed-terrain use, 26cm in diameter.

Length: The Pioneer is 72.5cm long (front to back), the Ultralight is 66cm long, the Overland is 73cm.

Handle heights: The Nordic Pioneer has a handle height range of 84-94cm. The Compact Ultralight has a height range of 79-91cm, the Regular and Widetrack sized Ultralights have a handle height range of 80-95cm. And the Overland handles have a height range of 82-95cm.

Brake cables: The brake cables are hidden inside the frame of the Overland and Ultralight, whereas the cables are external on the Nordic Pioneer.

Max user weight: byACRE have set the Ultralight and Overland max-user-weights at 130kg. But for the Nordic Pioneer, they've set that limit at 100kg.
