The Patient Handling Bed Sensor Alarm is an easy way to monitor patients who are at risk of injuring themselves if unassisted when walking or have a tendency to wander unsupervised. The product works by sounding an alarm when a patient sits up in bed.  The unit can also be plugged into an existing Nurse Call System and set up so the alarm does not sound but the staff are still alerted.  The unit is powered by a 6V DC adapter (Included) and can be fitted with 3 AA batteries for back up (Not included) There is a selection of settings to choose a delay.  This allows the patient to move position in bed without triggering the alert. 1. Instant alarm 2. 1-second delay 3. 2-second delay Additionally, there are settings for the tone and volume as well as a mute setting for when the alarm is to sound only at the Nurse Call Station and not in the patient's room. This Bed Sensor Alarm is ideal for patients with dementia or poor balance.
